In Pursuit of Truth

Recently, many world leaders within the realms of politics and religion have been focusing in on the illusive belief of “truth”. Over the last five years, these same people that have proudly brought us Afghanistan, Iraq and recently Lebanon now want to discuss the value of unadulterated truth. I and many other people find this well…Convenient, to be quite honest. Is religion the only place to find truth? Is religion always truthful?

After all of the smoke has cleared from being blown up our rectums over the past five years… Now, it’s time to pursue the truth? The Pope has now decided to retract earlier derogatory statements about the Islamic faith. Namely, the target of the statement in question was none other than the Prophet Mohammad. First of all, what really does the Pope know of Mohammad and what was the purpose of his original statement condemning Mohammad for his alleged means of propagating Islam through violence and terror (aka: WAR). Can anyone say Crusades?

Look, from the moment man decided to quit dragging his knuckles in this newly discovered thing known as fire, we have always displayed a knack for seizing an opportunistic advantage over our environment and other human beings. Whether competing for human companionship, food, shelter, land, energy, or any other perceived resource for that matter, you can count on mankind to fight tooth and nail, hook or crook, or do whatever it takes to achieve their respective goals. Ethnically speaking, there is no race on this planet “guiltless” of employing the “black arts” to achieve perceived monetary gain and political influence. The Ottomans, Norsemen, Romans, Greeks, Armenians, Persians, Prussians, Indians, Mongolians, Macedonians, Chinese, Japanese, Europeans, Africans, English, Americans, etc, etc, etc... And yes, this includes both male and female participation. In stating that, I am in no way suggesting that war can never be justified. However, before aggression is considered necessary we need to conduct a retrospective analysis based on the principles of sequential logic and deductive reasoning. Such as; “Why is this happening and how did we get here in the first place?” And more importantly, “How can we stop this from happening again?”

Moreover, who has the right to send your children to fight someone else’s children so they may “profit” from this abominable exchange. Historically, government, religious and economic leaders have been empowered to make these decisions concerning your children’s mortality. The reason this disgusting and immoral tragedy continues to happen is due to the people’s lack of “knowledge” about one another because of religious, political, geographical, economic and cultural separatist disinformation which is being imposed on mankind for the very same reason that wars start in the first place…Power, Money and Greed. “Who among us has power and money?” “Who profits from your children being sent to kill other people’s children?” “DO YOU PROFIT FROM THIS EXCHANGE?” Ultimately, WAR is about an exchange of FORTUNES. Would you send your son or daughter into harms way so someone you’ll never know can get rich? Would you sacrifice your son or daughter to keep your high paying job and benefits package at Wal-Mart? Did you spend all your time loving and caring for your children so they could be used as an instrument to increase the profitability of the FORTUNE 500’s war machine? If your children were kidnapped, how would that make you feel? THINK ABOUT IT!

Again, as I stated, I am in no way suggesting that war can never be justified. What I am suggesting that individuals in positions of power who have the ability to affect socio-economic and political outcomes cannot be blindly trusted to provide the public with the “knowledge” required to make decisions concerning your children’s future. As a matter of fact, if you may not already know… the middle class in the United States is “evaporating” at light speed.

FACT: Poor kid’s fight wars, Wealthy kids learn how to take advantage of the poor. Recently, a student had told me he was approached by a military recruiter at a University of California campus and was informed there was a program designed specifically for college students to payoff their student loans (student will have 100,000 dollars in student loans upon graduation) in “exchange” for 6 years of military service. When he asked me if I thought if it was a good deal, I replied, “It’s a 50/50 proposition.” He asked me to explain, so I replied, “If you come home dead or alive, your college tuition is paid in full… good luck.”

So, since we can agree that everyone has “cast enough stones” to knock down the World Trade Center at least a hundred times over and not to mention the untold human deaths, degradation, dislocation and disenfranchisement associated with these acts of human terrorism … Let the truth be told!

Instead of beating a dead horse to death, I’ll just end with this. “What is truth without love, numb skull?”
